ANNUAL NAROOMA TRIP

All Vikings members are invited to participate in our legendary annual club weekend away to attend the Annual Narooma Meet in the lovely south coast town of Narooma (approx. 2.5 to 3 hours drive by private car). The Meet will take place on Saturday 25 November. The Narooma pool is a 50 metre indoor heated pool with ample bring your own chair space for spectators.

Besides the great swimming opportunities, this weekend is a great social trip away for all of the family and a great opportunity to meet and get to know other Viking families. The emphasis is on fun!

As cabin bookings are for two nights, the general arrangement for the trip is to travel to Narooma on Friday afternoon, enjoy the meet the next day, have a Vikings event (undecided yet – perhaps dinner and a trivia night) and have either a short swim session on the Sunday morning and/or free beach swimming before traveling home on the Sunday arvo.  See more on cabin bookings below.

The program of events for the meet can be found here.  Last year the usual 2-day program was changed to a 1 day meet.  The meet program usually has a full range of events to suit all levels of swimmers, from novice to higher level swimmers.  T

ACCOMMODATION
Easts Riverside Tourist Park is directly adjacent to the pool where the meet is being held and is a very short stroll so you won’t need to use the car once you get there.  TVSC has secured ensuite cabins (1 double bed, 3 bunks and sofa in each, full cooking facilities) at the park.  Costs are $73 per night for 2 adults, $7 extra per child over 2 years $14 per extra adult.  There are also some family cabins available which are a little further from the pool but still within an easy stroll.

DEPOSITS – You will be required to pay a $100 deposit shortly after you have booked.  Beth will be able to give you the details when you book.  Alternatively, you can call Easts with your credit card details to confirm your booking, although all bookings must be made through Beth.  As cabin numbers are limited we suggest you contact Beth to make your booking as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.  This is not something to put off until tomorrow as demand is high!  Allocation of cabins will operate on a first in, first served basis.  There are other smaller cabins, on-site caravans and camping sites at the same park and failing this, there is another Easts Van Park in Narooma as well as several motels and units.  For further information on cabin hire, please contact Beth Bingham on 0416 048 505.
